Have you stayed at WorldMark Scottsdale? Here's your chance to tell other WorldMark owners what it's really like. How big is the pool? How hot is the hot tub? What do you wish you had known before you left home?

COVID STAY at WORLDMARK SCOTTSDALE

We just returned from a 7 night (11/30 – 12/6) stay at Worldmark Scottsdale. This was our second stay at the Worldmark Scottsdale. We stayed in a 2 bedroom located in building 3, second floor. These are the new condos that are on the golf course.

The normal entrance into the Worldmark Scottsdale is blocked, as it is an active construction site. The temporary entrance (which will be a second entrance in the future I suppose) is located one block east on Indian Bend. There is a temporary sign for this entrance. This entrance is also an active construction site Monday thru Friday.

I went to check-in, got the keys (well one key and the wrist bands). The wrist bands you can wear, and they’ll open your door. They were pretty convenient to use. You then turn around to get your parking pass, and of course they want you to go to an owners meeting. Only 6 minutes and we’ll give you the money (they said $125 up front or a bunch of Wyndham points which equated to a free hotel room stay for a night or two). I wasn’t interested and asked for the parking pass. Well we’re not doing parking passes right now, so I said thanks and have a great day, and off I went.

The room was nice, 2 bedroom, with the deck opening up to the golf course. The master bedroom has a walk in shower, while the guest bedroom has a bath tub. There is an island in the kitchen as well. We did notice that there was no bedding for the pull-out bed. We weren't using it, so we didn't ask. If you were on the 1st floor you might not have as nice a few, as there is a brick wall blocking the condo from the golf course. The air conditioning still is the best of any of the resorts we’ve stayed at, with ceiling fans in both bedrooms, living room and on the patio. You could also hear coyotes at night, I assume running through the golf course.

We didn’t use the pool, but if you read my last review, we did notice that they took away most of the lounge chairs they had set up back in 2019, probably back to a normal amount. There are bbq’s between the two new buildings as well as near the pool. The other new building is 3 stories, and on one end has an outdoor recreation area. It is located on the third floor. Please note we did not see any elevators in the building (#3) we stayed in, so if carrying your luggage up flights of stairs is an issue, you might ask for help.

We didn’t eat out a lot, but did discover two new restaurants, POMO Pizzeria, and Twisted Grove (great happy hour), both within a few miles of the resort. We’ll go back to them when we return. There is also a Coconut’s which is the same as the one located in Maui! Excellent fish and chips, and fish tacos.

Overall, we felt safe while at the resort, and it was another great stay at the Worldmark Scottsdale. This is still the cleanest, best kept property we've stayed out. They did an excellent job. It met all of my expectations. If you have any questions, feel free to ask!

We just returned from a four night stay at WM Scottsdale (10/12-16, 2020). We are used to staying at Marriott and Westin resorts in the Phoenix-Scottsdale area so were not expecting this resort to be as nice as it was. We would return in a heartbeat. The room was great and well located, a 1 br deluxe opening in back to the pool area. The pool and spa area was lovely and well-equipped with plenty of tables, comfy chairs and lounge chairs. The resort is close to all the restaurants, entertainment venues, and services that you could ask for. It’s nice to have an attractive and comfortable place to stay when we don’t want to commit to a full week elsewhere. Definitely recommend giving it a try.

We just returned from a 7 night (4/6 - 4/13) stay at Worldmark Scottsdale. This was our first stay at the Worldmark Scottsdale. We stayed in a 1 bedroom deluxe, ground floor unit.

The Worldmark Scottsdale is very easy to find. I went to check-in, got the keys right away and then had to turn around and see the next desk for the parking pass smile. I know the drill, after about 10 minutes of telling the guy I didn't want to waste anyones time, he finally handed me the pass. They offered me $100, plus a bunch of Wyndham points which equated to a free hotel room stay for a night or two.

This may have been the cleanest, best kept property we've stayed out. Every employee we encountered always asked how we were doing! They did an excellent job.

The room was nice. The only issue we had, was day 2 when the smoke alarm started beeping. We called, and maintenance came up right away (less than 5 minutes). He replaced the battery and no more beeping. The air conditioning was the best of any of the resorts we stayed at, with ceiling fans in the bedroom, living room and on the patio.

The pool and hot tub were great, but only one of each. They are building two new buildings on site (~40 new units), so that will crowd the pool once they open. During our stay a shipment of lounge chairs, tables, and umbrellas arrived. They put them all out, probably doubling the number, it's pretty crowded with chairs and tables right now. The bbq's (6 of them) were great and new.

Overall, I couldn't be happier with this resort. It met all of my expectations, and was one of the best Worldmark stays we've had! If you have any questions, feel free to ask!

We spent Thanksgiving weekend in this resort in a 1 bedroom with a full kitchen on the ground floor. I loved the layout of this unit. The kitchen sink faces the living room/dining area and you can look out into the rest of the unit. The bedroom was spacious and the bathroom had a jetted tub AND an enclosed shower. Nice patio area off of the living room.

The pool was nice and so was the hot tub/spa. There was a covered area in the pool area for the hot parts of the year.

The full kitchen did not have a hand mixer included, so be warned. I had to borrow one from my granddaughter, who lives in the area, to make the mashed potatoes and the whip cream for Thanksgiving dinner. Also, the units do not have a dvd player, though there is one (1) that can be borrowed from the office. These two items are standard in all of the other resorts where we have stayed.

The staff of this resort win prizes for friendliness and helpfulness from the office staff, to the housekeeping staff, to the maintenance/ground crew, and including the Wyndham representative. Great job.

Visited the Scottsdale resort this week so we could link up with family in the Phoenix area. Stayed in a 1 bedroom standard which was very nicely appointed and good size living space; however the kitchen was a little small - had the essentials.

Had a second floor unit - small balcony with a fan overlooking the pool. The AC was loud and drowned out the TV - and the TV frequently lost signal. So watching TV was not a good experience.

The grounds were clean and the pool area was relaxing even with the hot temps. There is a BBQ area near the pool. Fitness room was clean, had cardio equipment - dumbbells - multipurpose machine and TVs. All equipment was new.

Staff was friendly and very accommodating to owners needs. No owner presentation - nice. Coffee, water and tea in the lobby.

Location is behind a closed athletic club - little bit off the main road. Plenty of retail and food choices in the area. Albertsons grocery store 2 blocks away. Talking Stick Casino about 1 mile away - was able to drop off my wife and pick her up without having to drive very far. Went to Old Town Scottsdale and found numerous shops/restaurants. Grabbed lunch at a "Cien Agaves" which had very good Mexican food! Looks like plenty of golf courses - but I don't golf.

Overall newly renovated resort with I believe - 84 units in a good location. Will stay here again. Was told they are going to build 2-3 bedroom units in the back area of the resort.

We spent 4 nights at WorldMark Scottdale, in late May, 2017. The weather was fine and our room (I feel) had the best patio view of the pool and it's waterfall. We were told the resort had only been open 35 days and staff were welcoming. The resort was a renovation of Eurasia Spa & Atheletic Club. The athletic club is closed. It would be a small treasure for WM to acquire this for indoor swimming, basketball, pickleball, arcades, etc.

Our rooms upon entering were clean and nice as expected. Upon use, there was obvious signs of wear and tear. The shower was in dire need of re-caulking, the sink was worn, the extra blanket was hard and we found a pile of cigarette butts (approx. 15-20) on the patio. It appeared as though they were dropped from the room above. However, once notified, they were removed immediately.

We were there primarily for golf and played We-Ko-Pa (Cholla) and Ak-Chin Southern Dunes. Many other nearby courses on the play list were visited.

Other than golf and hiking, the Scottsdale area is very quiet. If your looking to just wade in the pool or sit in the hot tub (very comfortable despite outside temp) after a day of golf or hiking, this would be a nice place to visit.

This resort has three buildings: Building 1 has 14 units downstairs and 14 upstairs (#1101 and 1114 are end units with windows on the end and along the sides! - units between only have front and rear windows!) Building 2 has 16 units and building 5 has 12 units. Building 3 and 4 are future build I guess. The fitness center, pool area and game rooms are typical to other Worldmark Properties. Albertsons grocery store is walking distance (2 blocks away). Shopping/restaurants/spring training center for Diamondback's and others is only 1/2 to 1 mile away!
