Have you stayed at Dolphins Cove? Here's your chance to tell other owners what it's really like. How big is the pool? How hot is the hot tub? What do you wish you had known before you left home?

We got to the resort last night, late, because of flight problems. I read reviews of this site, both good and bad. So we came here with an open mind on what to expect. The resort was easy enough to find, and very appealing to the eye. This being gated makes it appear very nice. The pool and hot tub looks really nice. The units, although seem a little small, still are very nice and clean. The grounds look very nice and well taken care of. Upon checking in, the staff was very nice, and answered all questions with ease. We were not pressured to sit in on an owners update. It was mentioned to us, and the offer of gifts were made, but after saying not interested this time, it was not pushed on us. Very nice. This is day one of our stay, but it looks like there will be nothing but good reviews of this resort and staff.

We stayed here May 20th - 27th! This place is great for families with kids!! The grounds were great! The kids loved the pool and hot tub. They were updating the cooling systems on some of the units. The staff were very helpful and friendly. My biggest complaint is that the floors were not clean. When you walked around without shoes on your feet they were dirty. We had footprints in the tub from the dirt on the feet! We would stay there again. We would like to see them work on how they clean the units though!

So sorry to hear of your bad experience. We were there a few years ago with my my daughter, son n law and grandaughter and I have nothing but good to say about the resort and especially their staff. We only have our original 10,000 points which we bought almost 30 years ago. Yes, our view was of the parking behind our unit but we were there for the park not the view.
We enjoyed the mini golf and we got checked in early. A few years before this trip we stayed at the Anaheim Worldmark and left early after being hassled every time we stepped off the escalator but the sales assholes. We never saw any bugs or cockroaches and I can tell you my grandaughter looks. If even a spider she would have woke us up in the middle of the night.
Again, sorry for your experience and hope it was just a one time problem.

I reserved Dolphins cove for two 2bdrm units and one 1bdrm unit for June of 2018 clear back in June of 2017 and I think we got the 3 worst units in the resort when we checked in. My son and daughter and their family's were place in handicap units. My son is 6ft 3 which made the low cabinets hard for him. I ask to be moved but was told the resort was full. I checked into local hotels but they started at 250.00 per night or I would have left. My daughter and husband and 2 granddaughters were in unit 121 and had cockroaches in their bathtub everyday, spider webs in bathroom corners, headboards hadn't been dusted in a long time, kitchen sink smelled like rotten eggs, dishwasher was filthy and had to be run before she could use it, she went through 10 door keys that seemed to work once or twice then quit working. My son and daughter-in-law and 2 granddaughters were in unit 122 and the AC unit leaked on the kitchen counter and sink, shower drain was plugged on check in but was cleared, no floor sweeper in unit, my one granddaughters headboard fell off the wall the first day and had to be reattached, upstairs residents were extremely noisy and after being ask several times by the front desk to quiet down actually got louder, unable to use patio because of road noise, unit was on the outside next to major road, cobwebs in corners and dusty. Me and my wife were in unit 126 which was on the outside facing the busy road making the patio too noisy to set enjoy. I felt like because I was Worldmark and not Wyndam vacation club I was treated like a second class citizen. The resort amenities lists a deli/snack bar and a convenience store on site which were not there. I upgraded to Diamond Elite status a couple of years ago and if this is how I am going to be treated Im sorry I did. I have been an owner since the Trendwest days and this is the worst resort I have stayed in and after spending almost 5000.00 dollar on gas and Disneyland and universal studio tickets this made our long planned family vacation much less enjoyable.

Stayed in a 2BR 1 Bath unit at this resort from 7/1 - 7/5. We had the reservation through the 8th but had to leave early due to change of plans. Check in was super smooth with no pressure to attend a sales meeting. We did have a note slid under our door one morning about attending an update (not a big deal) but were never bothered again. The only issue we had was that our microwave would not work but maintenance came and replaced right away with no issues after that. We used the kitchen quite a bit as we did do Disney and DCA for 3 days but returned in the middle of each day. I would definitely return to this resort again.

We stayed three nights in a "1BR KING" unit at Dolphin's Cove for the 2017 D23 Expo held at the Anaheim Convention Center.

Favorite elements of Dolphin's Cove:
  • LOCATION! Easy walk to the Anaheim Convention Center, Garden Walk and Disneyland Resort.
  • PARKING! Ample covered parking in gated section of the property. We find it far easier to park our tall SUVs (just under 7'2") at D'Cove than the nearby WM Anaheim property.
  • AFFORDABLE. The WM point values seem fair for these accommodations and there are no TOT fees.
  • Dining Coupons. Don't forget to ask the front desk for coupons to nearby dining establishments.

Comments on Unit #504:
504 Is a ground level, 1BR unit, in the building located farthest back in the complex. It has a 'courtyard' view of the mini-golf putting green. The bedroom has a King bed, dresser, two nightstands, TV, ceiling fan, and ample power outlets. The living room has a sleeper sofa, entertainment console with TV/DVD, patio access and wall-mount Air Conditioning unit on either timer or motion sensor. The kitchen is small but fully equipped with good appliances. The dining table seats 4. The bathroom, located off the living room and not directly connected to the bedroom, is separated with a large vanity/dressing area outside the smaller room with tub/shower and toilet. We had ample water pressure and hot water.

Comments on immediate prior review:
I believe the property is a converted apartment complex not former hotel. The units have full kitchens and large closets -- neither of which would have fit into the space offered by a former hotel layout. I fully agree with the desire for an in-room laundry!

My wife and I stayed at Dolphin's Cove from April 30, 2017 through May 7th 2017. We stayed in a one bedroom unit. The purpose of our visit was to visit family in the area not to go to Disneyland.

Our original unit 617 had a view of a parking lot. We were told that all one bedroom units view the parking lot. This wasn't explained to us when we called WorldMark to book our stay. The water in the unit would not get hot, the best we could get was tepid. Maintenance adjusted the mix of cold and hot water but still tepid was the best they could do. This is an issue with the boiler / hot water reservoir, not maintenance staff which did their best.

After 3 days of less than hot water we were moved to another room (511) which did give us hot water.

While I understand for most reading this review the point of Dolphin's Cove is to be close to Disneyland so the room isn't of primary focus.

Dolphin's Cove is a converted motel, and it shows. There are problems with Dolphin's Cove like hot water, lack of a desk for plugging in and using a computer, no laundry facilities in the room, and a few other things that detracted from the overall experience for me.

The overall cleanliness of the place is good and the staff is very friendly and I believe does their best to help guests.

We spent a lot of money to get to Dolphin's Cove, be a Platinum Elite member, etc. and we have had great experiences at many other WorldMark resorts. We expect more from WorldMark than what is offered at Dolphin's Cove.

Stayed for 6 days with family after not staying for the past 20 years. Our stay went really well. Everything was in working order and we noticed an improvement in the showers from 20 years ago. Still low flow but pressure was good and worked fine.
Kitchen is small but works as long as only one person in kitchen. Wall air conditioner is probably the biggest letdown as it is so loud. Would be too loud for many to enjoy the unit.
Staff is great, friendly and helpful. On site was a welcome party, mini golf, pool, ping pong. Reminds me of when and why we bought in because of family values and friendly service. We even got checked in early.

My family of 7 just stayed here and we loved it! Everything was clean, comfortable, and so close to Disneyland. We were impressed with the friendly staff of this resort. My little guys loved the hot chocolate in the main office and all the kids enjoyed the pool. There is a ping pong table right out by the pool and a mini golf course at the other end of the resort. They had an ART bus pass kiosk right by the clubhouse, but with our large group it was cheaper to just park at the toy story parking lot. You can walk, but for little legs a ride "home" is well worth it after all day walking/standing! We did see people walking in to the toy story lot despite the signs against it. Disney staff didn't seem to care, so you could get a free ride to the main gate this way. There was a barfing in the pool event that closed it down our final evening we found disappointing but we were pleased with how quickly the staff were cleaning things. By morning it was up and running again and the kids got to swim and splash while we enjoyed the continental breakfast poolside before checking out. My final favorite thing... FREE laundry, just try to avoid doing it with everyone else who wants to clean things before heading home. Make sure to be on time to switch your wash. There were some rude and impatient people who would take freshly washed loads out, pile them on the folding table, just so they could do their own!

Hello everyone,
I feel so compelled to let all of you know how wonderful Dolphins Cove Resort is. My entire family of 10 were treated so wonderfully.
Our vacation began Saturday, March 26th 2016. Because of our flight arrangement, we arrived hours before the standard check in time of 3:00pm. The staff reassured us not to worry. They helped by holding our luggage for us and provided enough pool towels so we could go swimming. The Pool was very clean and a very nice size. As time went on my entire family were starving. Again, the staff helped without hesitation and assisted in ordering several pizzas, wings and soda to be delivered. They offered sweet rolls, granola bars and beverages to curb our appetites until our lunch arrived. Before we knew it, here came the staff with our entire order which was delivered to the front desk. They provided paper plates and napkins. They went above and beyond to make us comfortable. A short time had past and all were content when the staff came back to the pool to inform us that our 3 condos were ready! 2 hours early!
The condos were wonderful. One of the nicest things that we loved is that our 3 condos were located all together! Then another outstanding service. We had ordered 5 days of groceries (for 10 people!) on line to be delivered. One of the staff members personally escorted the grocery store delivery man to our condos!
We did go to the cheese and wine social that evening. Again, the staff were amazing. They helped with the
5 children and took group pictures. Assorted cheeses and crackers, popcorn along with wine and non-alcoholic beverages were offered.
The Dolphins Grove Resort was always well maintained and very pretty. When we needed to use the gas BBQ Grill, a staff member came promptly to lite it for us. The mini putt putt golf course was right off our patios which the kids loved.
The resort is conveniently located near a city bus stop which took us directly to Disneyland. The bus ride was under 20 minutes. We Love our entire experience! smile

We just stayed at Dolphins Cove during Christmas. For what we needed it was worth it. Yea, Anaheim is newer, bigger and fancier by far. But we did not want to pay taxes or use as many credits. We were not in the room much, got back from Disneyland really late and we were gone a lot. The room was not bad. The main issue I would say is the laundry room is in very bad condition. Washers are uneven, which get unbalanced. I would say the laundry room was the worst. They did offer certain days were they had muffins and stuff for breakfast which we grabbed to take to disneyland. We used the Art bus for a couple days, but then realized we should have just walked down to the Toy Story parking lot and took the shuttle. We drove down cause I figured you would need a pass to get on the shuttle bus, but you don't. So walk down to the parking lot, 2 or 3 blocks and just shuttle down for free.

The newest review I'm seeing is from 2014, has anyone stayed here in 2015? I'm on a wait list for DC and Anaheim, but from the reviews I'm reading, I don't know if I want to stay at DC even though there is no tax to be paid.
Thanks!!
