Have you stayed at WorldMark Pagosa? Here's your chance to tell other WorldMark owners what it's really like. How big is the pool? How hot is the hot tub? What do you wish you had known before you left home?

Sept 23, 2017 - You have to call the office and complain about the problems when you stay at resorts like this. You also need to call Owner Care and tell them about it too. If you do not take those steps nothing will ever change. My husband and I stayed there this past week. No wonder the points were so low. Our 1 bedroom unit was a studio with a bedroom attached. If you open the fridge too far, you hit the stove. If you open the drawer to get silverware out you cannot open it all the way because it hits the side of the stove and stops. The table was part of the countertop and had 2 very hard wood chairs with no padding at all. However, it was the only place to set up a laptop to answer my bosses emails. However, you cannot sit on the hard kitchen chairs too long, because it is just not comfortable for sitting in for more than 10 to 15 minutes. The designated business center had nice computers with printers, but the chairs sat so low that that the keyboard was the same level as my chin. The coffee maker still had the previous owner's coffee grounds and paper filter in it, the tub was filthy and they had to come and clean it, the stove top had grease splattered all over it and had to be cleaned, the garbage disposal was full of food (maybe potatoes) from I guess the previous person or maybe even the person before that. We ran lots of water in the sink and ran the garbage disposal, but the food that was sitting in it never did go down. The hot tub was located in a room behind the unit (shared between 4 units). It was a 4 seater, but the jets to 1 seat did not work. We tried the recreation area, which is the local gym and it was pretty nice, with the exception that the day we went the showers were not working because they had no hot water. It is not the quality that I am used to with Worldmark, but it is starting to become what I expect from Wyndham. If you are going to visit this resort in spite of all the negative reviews on here, you definitely want a 1 bedroom deluxe or bigger. Only get the 1 bedroom standard if you want to feel like you are on a camping trip or if you plan to eat out every day. ALSO, BE AWARE THAT THE PICTURES THEY POST ON THE WEBSITE ARE NOT PICTURES OF THE UNIT YOU ARE GOING TO STAY IN. WHERE WE STAYED AND THE INSIDE OF THE ROOMS LOOKED ABSOLUTELY, POSITIVELY NOTHING AT ALL LIKE THE PICTURES ON THE WEBSITE. ON THE WEBSITE IT LOOKS SPACIOUS AND LUXURIOUS AND IN PERSON THE APPLIANCES ARE FROM THE LATE 70'S EARLY 80'S AND EVERYTHING IS SMALL AND COMPACT.

The Pagosa Resort is a "mixed bag of tricks" in our opinion. We stayed at Eagle's Loft area in June 2017. The unit was clean but dated. However, the geese and their droppings, the swarms of midges, and the mosquitoes down by the water made the location extremely taxing. We could not go outside to enjoy the patio or the beautiful view without keeping our mouths shut for fear of swallowing the midges with each breath that we took. It was challenging to get from the car to the upstairs room without either stepping on the goose poop or breathing in the midges.

On the flip side, there were so many fun things to do in Pagosa Springs that we regularly escaped from our unit and enjoyed the nearby areas. Next time we might ask for a different location. Since this is primarily a Wyndham resort with just a handful of units designated for WorldMark owners, I'm not sure how well that request would be handled.

Here is the link to the pictures we took of our unit in the Eagle's Loft area as well as the beautiful view from our unit (oh how I wish we could have been outside to enjoy the view): https://photos.google.com/u/1/album/AF1QipM5SFjV6EcWwH1Q88gfzFV3tCIeIVRrUOgbe9o7

We are staying at Eagles Loft. There is goose poop everywhere. Can't use the grills or take a walk because the hundred or so geese have made a deposit. I saw a guy pushing a shovel over the blacktop, but haven't seen him over the week end. That 18 hole miniature golf couse has seen better days. The indoor/outdoor carpet is rolled up ion several holes and cups are filled with muddy water. No one under 14 are allowed in the gym, even if accompanied by an adult. The unit itself is dated with decor from maybe when they were new in the 80's including fake, dusty, wood blinds . Only 3 more nights to endure.

We have just arrived for our 4th annual visit to Wyndham Pagosa. We booked this reservation through a Wyndham owner and are checked-in as their guest. We've been assigned a 1BR Deluxe ("A" side, the larger half) unit in the Peregrine section. The unit is fresh all around - including a brand new jetted tub located as its own fully covered/surround building off the back patio. Very relieved and happy for this room assignment.

We are currently staying at Village Point (1 bedroom - Unit 7530A). It is in beautiful shape. We even have a Jacuzzi bath tub. Furniture is in great shape. I do find almost all sofa beds uncomfortable so that's pretty much a given. All appliances are new and we have a terrific view. The room was immaculate when we arrived. The kitchen is small & so is the table, but there is plenty of room for 4 people. The staff is friendly, helpful, and everyone of them will go out of their way for you. With so much to do here, we are never in the room anyway except to sleep and occasionally eat. It is not a studio. It's a one bedroom with a balcony. We have stayed at Pagosa over 20 times and never had a complaint. It is probably our favorite resort and we have been to more than half the Worldmark Resorts. Pagosa is an older resort but it is both beautiful & comfortable here.

We are staying at Village Point in a one bedroom. It is a glorified studio, the only difference being it does have a separate bedroom. It is an old school lock off unit.

Kitchen is ridiculous. You have a mini 4 burner stove, about a foot of counter space and a full size dishwasher. No typical WM starter kit of spices, etc. There was some coffee and sugar/substitute. The table is about 3 feet in circumference with 2 chairs. The other 2 chairs are against the wall, but lets be real, the table will not hold 4 people.

There is a sleeper sofa, uncomfortable at best after awhile.

The unit is sorely in need of maintenance. We can't open the windows because one window lock in broken, another screen is propped open at the bottom, and the other has holes in the screens, bugs will get in. Peeling paint on the back side.

The toaster, coffee pot, blender are on top of an apartment size fridge. I pulled the coffee maker down to make coffee in the morning after we got here, and it still had the old filter and grounds, and was dirty to boot. So housekeeping gets an F in this department. There is one plug in on your mini counter. No room to have more than one kitchen appliance.

The highlight of this unit is the view from the bedroom deck of the lake.

Other than that, if you come here for a one bedroom and they say Village Point, to coin an old phrase, just say NO.

We have been to Pagosa more than 10 times. We love it. It is an older resort, but it's still great. They have tons of units, with 8 different types of units. Teal Landing & Village Pointe are by the lake and have sleeper sofas, no Murphy beds. The only unit with Murphy Beds is Peregrine and it has a hot tub that is shared with your neighbor. Eagle's Loft is also located near the lake. It has a spiral staircase that goes down to a big jacuzzi tub and it goes up to a loft with 2 double beds. Both Eagle's Loft and Mountain Meadows are 2 bedroom but they sleep 8 people. You need to climb maybe 15 stairs to get in to Eagles Loft. Elk Run , Peregrine and Ptarmigin are on the golf course. Don't know much about Ptarmagin or Master's Place. The resort offers mini golf, golf, fishing, hiking trails, shuffleboard, tennis, horseshoes, and basketball. You will be given passes to use the Community Center which offers a pool, jacuzzi, exercise equipment, yoga room, raquetball & basketball. The resort also has an activity center that offers activities for both adults and children (Wine and cheese social, tie dye, arts and crafts, boogie bingo, s' more and ice cream soda socials. The resort offers discount tickets to many nearby activities including the don't miss Durango Silverton Train and Pagosa Hot Springs. Great resort for famlies or couples.
