Have you stayed at WorldMark Cathedral City? Here's your chance to tell other WorldMark owners what it's really like. How big is the pool? How hot is the hot tub? What do you wish you had known before you left home?

We booked a studio unit for a few days in December. We were so disappointed we check out and paid to stay at a nearby Staybridge hotel. The grounds are beautiful and the staff tried very hard to accommodate us but there was no way we would be able to enjoy the three days in the studio. We have stayed in several studio units in the past and were very satisfied with the units, however, this unit had multiply things that would not work for us. The walls were very very thin and we could hear the neighbors talking in a normal voice. Your only view is the patio that faces the garage and is open so people walking by can see you. It has two chairs in the "living" area with no coffee or side tables to place a cup of coffee. The bistro table was not big enough to eat on and was located under the only television (13-19 inch) that was mounted in between the living area and bed. The kitchen area had a bar size sink, a small microwave, a very small refrigerator, and a dishwasher. The dishwasher and spices on the countertop was confusing because there is nothing you could cook in that area.

I think the one-bedroom would be a better choice if you were staying more then one night. If you want a studio nearby go to the Palm Springs Plaza it has a nice little kitchen, sofa, and balcony.

We just spent a week in a one bedroom at Cathedral City. It was very spacious, full kitchen, excellent view of the green open area and pool. We could not have been happier with the unit. We had a garage across the road to protect the car which we have never experienced at a WM before. We have stayed at the Palm Springs and Indio properties before and we really preferred this location as it is more central to go either direction. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful to meet all our questions, requests and needs. It was very quite and peaceful here. A few people at a time went in the pool area so we could pretty much have it to ourselves much of the time. We will definitely be back. We did look at a studio just to see the difference from the one bedroom. We have never stayed in a studio so we don't have a comparison to other resorts but for us it would be too small. There are no windows to the pool side, the patio faces the road, there is no cook top and it has a small fridge. Our choice would be the one bedroom, you won't be disappointed.

We recently spent 6 nights in a studio at Cathedral City. Our needs are generally pretty simple, but the ground floor studio we had was a huge disappointment! Very small, no eating or coffee table so purse, camera and brochures lived on the floor, no stove-top cooking (and yet a dishwasher), thin walls, and a 'view' of a cement patio wall and garages. People walking by could see in as well. We had to walk down the back road and around a garage to find access to the very lovely central area with greenery and pool. After multiple inquiries, nothing else was available there or at the other Palm Springs resorts, and no compensation was offered. We did eventually move to an upstairs studio, and the view and privacy improved somewhat. I think WorldMark should identify the ground floor studios, and perhaps all the studio units, as less desirable locations, with significant warnings of what to expect. On the positive side the one bedrooms looked lovely, we enjoyed the quiet setting, and found local staff to be pleasant and friendly, even though they could do nothing to remedy our disappointment in the studio units.

We stayed in ground floor one-bedroom in March 2015, an upstairs one-bedroom in December 2015. and a Studio in December 2015. We have stayed at the other resorts in Palm Springs and Indio - which we recommend.

The grounds at Cathedral City are spacious with wide green lawns (not drought wise!) The reception desk closes at 10 pm - so no late-night check-ins or desk calls. The one-bedroom is very spacious and the covered parking is welcome under the hot 90+ degree sunshine. In our unit, the heater/furnace fan was very noisy.

The Studio has a queen-size bed (no window) and a micro kitchen with only a bar sink, mini-refrigerator, mini-microwave and NO COOKTOP - totally inadequate for cooking anything. The bistro table was not even big enough to hold 2 dinner plates. We dragged the patio table in to put our laptops on. AVOID THE STUDIO - small and dissappointing. It's only useful as an add-on room if you are staying in the adjoining one-bedroom unit. Otherwise, get on the wait list for Indio or Palm Springs.

We have stayed in over 30 different Worldmark Resorts over the years. We have never been disappointed until we stayed at Cathedral City. We took guests and were embarrassed upon opening the front door to see the dirty frayed carpet. The toaster wasn't working (which they did replace) and then the towel bar fell off the wall. The office told us that Worldmark hadn't been in to refurbish the units yet. All Worldmark units are in one building and only have one bedroom and studio units at this location. The studio unit is a "lockout" unit.

I stayed in a ground floor 1 bdrm unit in February and loved it! Huge unit with a spacious patio leading across the soft, green grass right to the pool. Everything in the unit was clean and in tip-top shape. Large garage in the front so you have secure, shaded parking. I did peek at a studio unit which was MUCH smaller than the 1 bdrm.

This is a peaceful, quiet property in a residential neighborhood and adjacent to a popular golf course. We brought our bicycles and were able to ride to the grocery store in a nearby shopping center (a couple miles away).

Regarding the previous (Chari?) post. Seriously, an owner is upset because the room didn't have an alarm clock? There is this amazing new device called a "cell phone" that actually has an alarm clock built-in! Jeez what century are these people living in! cool

We just spent 3 days at the Cathedral City Resort in a one bedroom unit. The unit was very spacious but needed the "loving" care of WorldMark. The ice frown maker in the refrigerator didn't work; a couple of the cupboard doors were warped & didn't close, the pool is very small as is the hot tub. The carpet was very dirty and ragged at the front door. No washer/dryer in the unit. It is not centrally located so have to drive to everything but the golf course. But the attached garage was a very nice addition.

Just stayed in a studio unit in Cathedral City. We had booked a week, but after checking in and seeing the size of the studio unit, I called WorldMark and got on a wait list for Indio or Palm Srings. The studio unit has only a wet bar size sink, smaller micro wave and refrigerator than you would get in a hotel room.
Have stayed in WorldMark studio units before and been very satisfied. There are no WorldMark or Wyndham personnel at this resort. WorldMark/Wyndham only owns 1 bldg. and it only has studio and 1 bedroom units. In visiting with other WorldMark owners at the pool, learned they were not happy with service from the office. One had asked for an alarm clock and was told that the 1 bedrooms didn't come with alarm clocks, however we had one in our studio unit. This couple happen to be fairly new owners, not great advertisement for WorldMark, when they couldn't get an alarm clock. We were lucky using the wait list and were able to move to Indio. If information on this resort had been published, I must have missed it, as I would never had booked a studio unit. Do have to say the grounds and pool were nice. Office staff was not nearly as friendly or helpful as WorldMark staff.
