Thank you for your help. We've stayed on the mainland before and loved it. We even have a realtor in Playa del Carmen that we're going to go over and see one day. We may do more than 1 day on the mainland, but we're not sure. We're kind of going to relax and not do a whole lot. We decided not to stay there this time due to the spring break. It may not be an issue, but we'd rather not be in the middle of it. Also, we've already arranged all the transfers and are fine with the timing.

@jeranddan: "Do the king bed units have Hot tubs on the balcony like the picture shows?"Yes, but not really. The balcony hot tubs are just a small private dipping pool. This small pool is warm just as the water in the large swimming pool is, but it is not heated. There is a jetted bath tub in the upstairs bathroom of the 1 bedroom deluxe room (not sure for other size units). @curiously: "How close to the resort is a swimming beach, anything less than 20 minutes walk? Any snorkelling right of the beach? The resort seems to be on a lagoon, anyone care to clarify? Thanks!" Sorry, we rented transportation, so not sure on the walking distance for beaches question. We didn't try snorkeling in the lagoon area either, though I'm sure you probably could. Boats pass through the area, so you would just have to be extra careful and be expecting a dock like area rather than a beach. We saw that our neighbors brought inflatable rafts for the pool which would probably be nice to use like a paddle board for snorkeling in the lagoon area too. @bthorman: "We're going to be here in early March 2018. Any suggestions on activities? I get sea sick so don't snorkel, but husband does and may even scuba. We will also have a golf cart the entire time (spending 3 nights in an Airbnb in downtown after 7 at the WM)."The Worldmark office has tour options available with prices that looked as good as any we prebooked (once we got to the island, we only booked water bound things through Aqua Adventures: http://www.diveislamujeres.com/). There is also a dive shop within 5 minute walking distance that would be good for your husband to check out called Casa del Buceo ( http://www.casadelbuceo.com/). You'll likely find that you spend a lot of time in the downtown area during your stay at Worldmark, so I'd highly recommend that you change your final 3 nights plans and check out the mainland pyramid areas. Tulum (which has a small swimming beach so don't forget your swim gear), Coba, Chichen Itza, and Ek Balam are all fairly close by. Any swimming hole (cenote) you can visit will be more beautiful than you'd expect. Plus you'll be closer to the airport on your final day and not have to worry about ferry crossing :-) We did all of our mainland adventuring before heading to Isla Mujeres, so we rented a car at the airport and didn't hire any tours that I can suggest.
