There is a car rental place on the property...can't remember who it is, but the front desk will be more than happy to help. The problem with renting on-property is you probably will not have arranged the rental beforehand, in the U.S., and you'll pay considerably more for it. Renting a day or two this way may cost nearly as much as a week arranged before hand. We've always gotten our economy cars for around $135.00 a week by doing it ahead of time and letting our credit card insurance cover the insurance on the vehicle. In addition, renting at the airport takes care of transportation to/from the resort, which also contributes to the savings on the rental.

Has anyone gotten their groceries delivered by this company. Sounds like a great deal to have them deliver your groceries for you. Just wanted to make sure other people have not had problems. Thanks!!!

Hey Cabo Bill: We met at two years ago annual meeting in Bellevue with CarolAnn. It has been 11 years since we visited Coral Baja, but Hubby and I are bringing 5 guests from March 1 to 15 , 2011.
A couple of questions from the expert: a) - best way to get from airport to Coral Baja? b) do you know if "ENCORE" is still a viable snorkle trip?
John will turn 63 on this trip, we have both retired now, please answer?
Thanks

I'm heading to Coral Baja next month and I hear the pool is not heated. What is the temp of the pool in Feb, does anyone know? Will it be warm enough to swim in if it's only high 70's outside? Thanks!

As a quick summary of the rental car situation, I can say 1. shop for and rent the car on line from the U.S., not after you get there; you'll save a lot. 2. There are two kinds of insurance: a. insurance on the vehicle itself (which can be covered by the insurance from your credit card-- call customer service to be certain--at no cost to you, or it can be covered by cuying the insurance from the car rental company for about $20.00 a day.) b. Mexican 3rd party liability insurance--which you must buy from the car rental company. It's $7.00- $12.00 a day, depending on the company you rent from. It covers damage you cause to others or their property. It's the only insurance Mexican police care about, AND YOU MUST HAVE IT. 3. Avis includes the cost of 3rd party liability insurance in the price they quote you. I know of no others that do (with the possible exception of Alamo--check), so when comparing the Avis quote with others, add $7.00- $12.00 a day to the other company's quotes to make them comparable (and this MAY apply to Alamo also-- don't know). 4. You'll find an economy car quite inexpensive--but it may not hold everyone and their luggage.

Check http://www.tripadvisor.comGo to the forum section, then Baja. You'll find tons of information from people who live in Cabo and from people who make multiple trips every year--more information than you can imagine. (Do a search once you get to the Baja forum for "car rental.")

Rental Cars in San Jose del Cabo

We will be going to Cabo for the first time in February and were wondering about renting a car to travel around. There will be 4 of us going so thought it would be less expensive to rent a car than using a cab every time.
Can anyone tell us the best place and price for getting a rental car?
Thank You so much for your help.

What night is Fiesta night at Coral Baja? We will be there Jan. 25th thru Feb. 4th. Could the resort post an up to date activity schedule for the week?

I'm not sure what packet you're talking about, but I received a packet from another owner a couple of years ago. I believe his login was Denbo, but you could find it in past postings. I received my packet through email.

I'm not sure if this is how I'm to post or not, but the short story is I'm looking for a packet. My husband and I are travelling to Cabo early March. Thank you

All,
Unless unforseen circumstances arise, there will be no pool resurfacing in October of 2011.

No Debi, I have not heard back from anyone in regards to the question I posed about the pool resurfacing.... I am probably going to call Worldmark this weekend and have someone check on it since nobody seems to know what's going on.

Hi, We have reservations for November of 2011 and know nothing about resurfacing? I did call Worldmark directly when I originally made the booking as I had read a note then to do with pool repairs and they said they knew nothing about it. So interesting that you are hearing about it when you were down there. Have you had any response from anyone yet with regards to this. You can also e-mail a reply to myself at debiaras@hotmail.com as the e-mail attached to this is my husbands. Thanks Debi

As far as I know the only units with hot tubs are the 2 & 3 bedroom penthouses and the 2 bedroom back building units.

Hi, We are heading to Cabo in Nov, 2011. I don't see how you book a one bedroom with a hot tub. Anyone know how you do this? We have booked three one bedroom units but none say anything about hot tubs. Thanks for your help.

It's quite a way. Coral Baja is really closer to San Jose; it's not a bad walk from the resort.
In my opinion, nothing beats having a car; it doesn't cost a lot more than arranging for transportation to/from the airport, and you have it whenever you want it. Driving in Cabo is easy. If you do decide to rent a car, IF YOU CHOOSE TO USE IT, the insurance your credit card provides becomes primary in Mexico and covers the vehicle (check with your Visa/Mastercard provider to verify). You'll need to purchase Mexican 3rd party liability, which covers damage you do someone else's car/person; 3rd party liability costs about $10.00 a day.
Avis includes the cost of 3rd party liability in their quote; other car rental companies do not so you'll need to add an extra $10.00 a day to the quote.
Depending on when you'll be there, if you rent on-line before going down, if you let your credit card insurance cover the vehicle, you can get a compact car for a week for about $150.00, and that includes 3rd party liability.

We are Worldmark owners and are considering coming to this resort. We have stayed previously at Cabo San Lucas around the marina area. How far away is this resort from that area and is the bus the best way to get there? thanks.

For those interested CB has internet (ResortNet) in the rooms and as they say wireless available by the pool for a fee (ResortNet I would guess).
