Heading down to CB on saturday morning....can't wait! we got round trip shuttle through WM at $24 each....the same price as two years ago. Is the pool open? I heard they started painting it early? Any new timeshares to tour? We $1,700 plus lot;s of tequila three years ago touring 5 timeshares...pretty fun!

I would like to know about the 2 bedroom King.
Are they all in the Phase 1 building? I believe they are. If you stayed in one ,what floor were you on? Found one listing that there is one on the fifth floor. Are there any on the top floor? I know there is a 1 bedroom deluxe on top.
We have been there lots of times, but have not stayed in one, and fear that if we don't get 2 Bed Pent , that we might try for that.Could only be two, don't know for sure.
Also if I could get the travel doc. everyone is asking about to see if i missed anything. felker50@hotmail.com
Thanks Alot

Hola...
New to this forum, but not new to WM and Coral Baja. Been a WM member since '93 and have been to CB 3x, -in '97, 2000 and 2003, with an upcoming return visit this week - 23March for 10days.
We Love this property. - and see that some changes/upgrades have taken place since our last visit.
-The past 2 trips we pre-arranged transportation to/from the airport, via WBWtravel@wyn.com, using Translife Cabo for about $58CAD (close to that in USD), for this upcoming trip. Thats round trip for 2, non-stop to/from airport. -
On previous visits, we only rented a car once, for a trip up to Todos Santos and area..-Rented from CB..for a day or 2.
We usually use the bus system..into Cabo itself...or walk locally. Hey its Mexico..soo whats the rush....!!-
One time we took a bus 'tour' up to LaPaz..Not so much a tour per se, but the local bus route up to LaPaz with a stop or 2 along the way. Kinda fun..mingling with the locals.
Was there before Mega was built and did our shopping at the food store off the Hwy..but since there last, we walked to Mega..and back, with our groceries.. Very good selections @ Mega.
Been to Zipper's, Dante's - great food, Momma Mia's, on site with good food and of course BBQ'ing on site and dining in our suite, on our balcony overlooking the view...
A bus trip or 2 into San Jose and enjoyed the marguaritas with Damiani..and some fine eatiers there as well.
A traditional horseback ride along the beach ...Ah yes...!
Really look forward to our holiday...to lay back and enjoy it all...
Can't wait....
.
on a side note...
Dennis,
What is your 'travel document'..?
I'd be curious to see it as well.
Thanks,

We always rent a car: we like the flexibility of setting our own schedule. By the time you figure the cost of getting from the airport to the resort and back, it doesn't cost that much more for the ability to do as you wish when you wish.
.
You will not have issues with the police, and driving in Cabo is easy. Just remember that the speed limit is in kilometers, not miles, and remember that in Mexico, left turns are definitely not what they are in the U.S. On the highway, their intent is that you will exit the highway onto a "feeder" which is right beside the highway. Then, you will go to the spot where you would have made a left, but you will use the feeder. You will then cross the highway and turn left. Mexican drivers are not expecting to find you in a lane turning left. Other than that, no real differences.

Rent while you are still in the U.S.; the rates are substantially less. You can probably rent for a week if you rent while you are in the U.S. for the price of renting a few days while you are in Mexico.

We had a great time using the bus when going into cabo. We also book a couple of events, like jet ski and the like, they will pick you up and take you back. I just make the appointment late so we can spend the afternoon in CABo.

Gale-- Don't chuckle if my question sounds dumb. You mentioned $48 RT between the airport and Coral Baja. Is that per person? I think I remember it being maybe a 15-20 min. trip. There'll be four of us. If it's PP, that's $96 each way for our 15-20 min. ride. That seems kinda steep. Am I missing something? Thanks-- the Ol' Coach

Mexico's electricity is the same as the U.S.--current and plugs are identical.

Do you need an adaptor for the electrical outlets at the resort. I have a medical device that I need to use at night.

Just make a reglar reservation for a two bedroom unit, then call vacation planning and have your name put on a "wait list" for the Penthouse. We did that last year and it all worked out. The view is awesome from the "top"

Use Translife Cabo, www.cabo-shuttle.com. Last year it was $48 RT, and they send you a picture of what your driver looks like so you won't get taken by the crooks in the airport!

To 1 Kodiak: That's why we use the service recommended by Time Share - www.cabo-shuttle.com. It's fine and dependable and on time. Because of the concern they send you a picture of your driver so there won't be a problem. And, they tell you exactly what to do to avoid the shysters inside airport! I'm looking at my reservation form and it was $48 RT. Don't rent a car. There's an exciting bus ride into downtown Cabo you really need to experience! Have fun!

We were there in Cabo last year, and going to Palm Springs in April and the credits haven't gone up! You might want to call WorldMark and see what's going on! I've been an owner since '95 and they've stayed the same. HOWEVER, new places are charging higher amount of credits! I know, I didn't think they would do that, but they have! Good luckj!

We were there last year and if you want a fun experience take the bus. We went to Walmart on bus, and we also went to downtown Cabo and that was an exciting speed race, something you have to experience. I would do it again, and I'm 74! And it's super cheap. We did rent a car from the time share for 1 day and it was super expensive. We did not take the insurance. I rent cars 4-5 times per year and never take their coverage! Have fun!

In addition to Dennis' list, you might check the Cabo forum on www.tripadvisor.com Trapper John has a truly excellent list of restaurants and other information which would be a supplement.
