What's there to do in Vegas? We want to hear about what you did and saw while staying at this report; favorite show or Casino?

I have not been to Vegas in a few years, but if you are looking for something that is definitely a huge blast to do, look into Bootleg Canyon Zipline Tours. I was a little skeptical of this at first, but after going there, and then seeing the ziplines, and going on the first of four ziplines, I was extremely happy that I went on this tour. The rides are fun, and the views are fantastic. There is a bit of a hike up to get to the first line, but it is well worth it. We are heading back down for our anniversary in August of next year, and will be going on this again. We are in our 60's, so for someone our age doing something like this, I can tell you this is well worth it. I know they have a zipline down in Freemont Street, but that zipline is nothing compared to the ones at Bootleg Canyon. Google it, and check it out. You will enjoy it.

I am usually towing my children with me so I am looking for simple things that they would like to do on a dime. Here are some of the simple things that we enjoy as a family in Las Vegas:

The Bellagio Gardens: It is a free walk through. The indoor butterfly habitat is incredible. The garden changes a few times a year and it is always fun to see the different themes. While we are there, we also like to watch the water show that takes place in front of the Bellagio.

The Flamingo Habitat: We like to take the tram from the Monte Carlo to the Bellagio and then walk to the Flamingo resort. Here there is a flamingo habitat with a large section of flamingos that walk around. (There are feedings twice a day which are interesting). There are also black swans, pelicans, ducks, turtles, and koi fish to watch. For the past two times that we went there, there was a person with a flock of huge parrots, taking pictures. You don't have to buy the pictures and it is kind of fun holding a large parrot.

The Coke Factory: We go here to get a large coke and watch the strip below. It is also fun to look at the merchandise.

Town Square: This place is a blast if you like to walk around and look at things. There are also little train rides that kids can go on for a dollar or two.

*For shows, first view the prices on the hotel web sites where each show is playing. Many times the hotel sites have better prices than any of the big discount places.
- The Cirque Du Soleil Beatles Love show was wonderful. Mirage has a special thru March 2014. We got two tix in C section for $88 each (reg. $114).
- The Silverton Casino and Hotel - 3333 Blue Diamond Rd, (just S. of airport) has an amazing, free indoor tropical aquarium. Sit at the bar and watch the stingrays! It's 'way' better than the one at Caesars Forum Shops. Next to it, the Pro Bass Shops has an awesome indoor waterfall and a freshwater aquarium.
- The National Geographic Photography display at the Venetian was good. We had a magazine coupon and one senior admission, so tix were $17 each. (Also, the best gelato prices were by the downstairs outside door, $4 for a small vs. $6.50 everywhere else).

For a great time with friends and family, take the Grand Canyon South Rim Bus Tour.We took the tour on Sept 24th 2013 and had a great time. The price is about $79 per person for a 14 hour tour. The tour comes with hotel pickup and drop off.The tour starts with a morning snack then a break stop in Kingman Ar.We had a very knowledgeable and funny tour guide named Tommy. We stopped for a nice buffet as part of the tour price then moved on to the Cayon. When you reach the canyon you get too long stop to walk around for pictures and fun.

I would say this was well worth the money but may not be for everyone. There is a lot of walking and the bus ride has it's pros and cons. Tommy was a great guide and the bus has video screens that plays short films on the history of the canyon and more. Check it out before you book and have a great time, we did.

We've had pretty good luck with Las Vegas Limos, we use them for NASCAR weekend.

Does worldmark recommend a limo company to use? We are going to Vegas next week for my daughters 16th birthday. We thought it would be fun for her and her three friends to be driven around vegas in a limo!

We went and saw Mystere when we were down in Vegas. As this was the first time that we have been to a Cirque du Soleil show, we were both mystified and amazed buy the show. We will definately go and see some more of them everytime that we go down there again.
