Have you stayed at WorldMark Orlando - Reunion? Here's your chance to tell other WorldMark owners what it's really like. How big is the pool? How hot is the hot tub? What do you wish you had known before you left home?

We booked Reunion for a week as a basecamp for park excursions. My brother & sister in law and boys checked in first and although I warned him to just say "thanks but no thanks" to the sales pitch, the $150 gift card was too enticing...more on this later. The 3BR was on second floor of building M, in north villas. The unit was perfect for us. Very convenient for the excellent water park. We enjoyed a wonderful dinner at Forte the first night we were all together. We had dinner at the clubhouse one night - great service and food too. Get the pretzel and cheese appetizer! The resort is very convenient for the parks, leaving earlier is better. A few minor complaints: no HD TV and spotty internet. No community dumpsters, you have to call to have trash picked up. When you do call, frequently it takes 5-7 minnutes for an answer. They charge for late check out, $220 for 3 hours... ouch. We found something to do instead: Tibet-Butler Park, not too out of the way for the trip to the airport. According to my brother, the sales pitch had an interesting twist: He got impression that Worldmark was the Club Wyndham's step child. I guess if it's a CW property I get it but it did rub us the wrong way. Still, the gift card paid for our dinner the last night! All in all, we recommend the resort.

Stayed at Reunion for only one night in September 2017, the night of the 21st. This was for my husband's birthday. Unfortunately the sales staff at check in were sneaky and persistent and we ended up unable to use the waterpark or pools because we spent all morning in a high-pitched sales presentation. JUST SAY NO! My husband was not happy with me or the resort. We stayed in a 3 BR unit on the top floor. Upon first look everything was super. When we actually settled in we realized it was NOT. There was a dead roach on the bathroom floor in the main BR, the shower had no place to set your shower products, and the shower head sprayed water over the shower door with no way to adjust it. The filter in the AC needed changing, and the refrigerator water did not work. The water smelled and tasted like sulfur (although I understand that is normal in most of Orlando). The unit was supposed to be special needs, yet the useless screen door to the balcony was too small and a tripping hazard for even non-disabled, and there was no way to get a wheelchair down the stairs in case of a fire. Our balcony overlooked a golf course and International Drive. Other than that, it looked to be a great resort, and despite the unit being in need of fixing it was a large unit and the kitchen was well stocked. If you enjoy golf it has many courses. There are multiple pools, a waterpark, and restaurants on site, and restaurants and grocery stores and strip malls just outside the resort. Near all the attractions. Well manicured resort and except for the sales pitch that wasted our time, I would recommend it.

We have stayed at the Reunion resort 2 times within 9 months. The rooms are huge and nice. It is on a golf course, and there are pools near the room, as well as a lazy river very close on property. The one thing I have seen both times to the negative is we left something both times and they were not returned. First time, the granddaughter left brand new hair ribbons laid very nicely in the bathroom drawer, and when we called for the return of these we were told there was no report of any items found in that unit on those date. During our next visit, the wife left a jacket in the master bedroom closet where the ironing board is. Now 2 people go in and look at the room after we leave. First is the maid, then someone else comes in after that and verifies that everything is there. So when they looked at the ironing board, they must have seen the jacket. Again we were told no items were found in that unit on the day we checked out. Obviously they have a problem with honesty. The response from Reunion was lethargic at best. They seemed to have no interest in finding our lost items either time. They have a large lost and found department that is useless. I was told they take in hundreds of items a day, but how many are actually returned. We called the next day after we checked out, trying to come by to look for the jacket, but they discouraged us from doing so since it would be early in the morning. It made us feel that they had no interest in giving back our items from the get go.

We recently had a lovely stay in Orlando, Feb. 2017. Great weather, very close to Disney Parks and other activities. We had a great 3 Bdrm. unit with large pool and large kiddie pool right outside our unit. However, no mention was made on check in that the pool was closed for repairs. We had to drive inconveniently to pool 2 miles away on other side of resort (where also only pool with hot spa on resort grounds was) or 1/2 mile to water park pool with lazy river, busy with lots of kids most days. Used to evening soaks in hot tub, so was disappointed that was not possible or convenient. Although unit was very pleasant, I was disappointed to realize that a unit supposed to house 8 people has only enough towel bars to hang up 6 towels, and none conveniently placed. No ring or bar for hand towel by double sinks in bathrooms either. Plenty of area to add another towel bar and rings by sinks in all bathrooms. Would be a nice improvement. We are used to reusing our towels for at least a couple of days, and no space to conveniently hang and dry them here. Other than the units poor bathroom designs, we did enjoy our stay there, but would probably choose a different resort next time, as we did not need the 3 bdrm size for just the 2 of us, and it used a lot of points. Also, we did not receive our email review questionnaire - maybe they don't want to know???

We spent 6 days at the Reunion Resort over the Christmas holiday. We arrived pretty late at night and moved through the checking process pretty quickly. Checked into a 3 bedroom, 3 bath unit on the 3rd floor. Units are very nice! Clean, stocked with everything you need for the week. I noticed the evening we arrived that the ice maker wasn't working. Contacted the front desk and they stated they would send someone over in the morning. The next day they came by and found that the entire refrigerator was out of Freon and had to contact a vendor to fix. We were gone at the time so they contacted me by phone to let me know the status and bought 2 bags of ice for us to carry us over till the following day. Although it was a inconvenience as the fridge was barely keeping food cold, their customer service was top notch.

Keep in mind when you use the workout area, you need a code to enter the facility. We were originally told that our key card would provide entry, but when we arrived, there was only a push pad.

The units are near all of the Disney Parks which was super convenient. There is a grocery store just down the road to pick up what you need for the week. The laundry units were different and rather old but they worked for what we needed. Also, when we needed anything, the front desk was quick to deliver. We didn't have time to use any of the pools onsite since we were so busy with Disney. Will definitely visit this resort again if we are int he area!

The unit was clean, and very nice, The only issues were the Eurotech washer/dryer units are a little different than our typical washer/dryers, and one of the screen doors had seen better days.

Flying in from Seattle, we arrived in Orlando at ~4:15 pm. Picked up the rental car (Budget), and headed to the resort. We used the app WAZE for navigating the area. Note that Florida has toll roads, our Budget car had an actual epass in the window. Our friends car(Alamo) had nothing. They were concerned about the tolls, but Alamo said they have a deal with the state, which charges them the epass rate.

We arrived at the resort and the guard gave us a parking pass, The gate guards were always very friendly. Went to the 11 story Reunion grand for check-in. Went to the Worldmark checkin area, got the information (map of property) and were asked if we were interested in a owner meeting, which the times were only 9:15 am and around noon. I said, well we have our days all planned out, and we won't be here during those times, which was the truth, and she said ok. They did offer $150 to sit through it. From there we went to the desks on the other side of the room for our keys. They do place a credit hold of $350 ($50/day) on a credit card, in case you use the restaurants or play golf. From there went to the room. Wi-fi was free!

Things to do:
wildwillysairboattours.com is without a doubt a must do. It was about a 45 minutes drive from the condo, located on Lake Toho. Wild Willy was our airboat captain too! He said he doesn't do them much anymore, but he does when they shorthanded. He started with one airboat in 2007, and now has 5 (I think). Tour lasted about a little more than an hour. Saw several alligators, fish, birds, etc. After the tour we went in the office and held baby alligators. Overall a great time, and I'd do it again!

discoverycove.com is an all inclusive (food, drink) water park. Day starts at ~7:15 am for check-in and breakfast, and goes until 5:00 pm. Discovery Cove is part of the Sea World family. It's located across the street from Sea World. We did a dolphin swim which does cost extra. However, late last year (2015) we had signed up for discovery cove emails. In December an email came through that said buy tickets now and save $$$. We were able to purchase the park admission ticket and dolphin swim for $219 per person. Which was a huge savings. Dolphin swim times are determined when you check in, so the earlier you arrive the earlier your dolphin swim is going to be. In the summer, the weather can be questionable in the afternoon, so it is possible that your swim could be canceled due to inclement weather. Our time was scheduled for 8:45 am. However, our dolphins didn't want to come out and play so they rescheduled our group to 11:45 am and gave us a free dvd of our experience. Discovery Cove was awesome, food was fine, drinks were free, including beer, wine and pina coladas. They do require you to wear either a life vest of wet suit, that they provide. They also require that you use their sun screen, which is animal friendly. Overall it was a great experience and one we would do again.

Disney -
We did the Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios. During our two days there, the weather was ~94 degrees with humidity near 80%. We agreed that we enjoyed Disneyland more than our time at these Disney properties. It's possible that it was the weather, but the Magic Kingdom didn't seem as organized during entrance as we had previously experience at Disneyland. They are more thorough when checking bags now, opening up each item that is closed, and even feeling food. I understand that this is now a sign of the times, specially in Orlando.

Pools at Reunion-
There are 11 pools, there were two right outside our condo. One was for kids, with small slides and other toys, it was pretty large too. I think the depth maxed out at 2 ft 6in. The other pool was deeper, 4 feet or so. We also went to the waterpark which we wished we had done earlier in the trip. No outside food or drink allowed in the waterpark.

Places to Eat-
Publix grocery store about 1 mile from Reunion resort. Complex also includes a McDonalds, Papa Johns, Subway, Chinese restaurant, and a cafe. Across the street is a 7-11, Pizza Hut and Dunkin Donut.
We ate at a Steak n Shake, Cracker Barrel, Five Star Pizza (takeout), and Mi Casita bbq (cuban food). All were great and would recommend them, although some were a drive.

We'll probably go again, but not in the summer. The weather was hot and humid. Any questions feel free to ask.

Thank you for this thorough review. My family and I will be there labor day weekend and I am super excited. smile laugh

My wife and I had a wonderful experience at this resort. Jessie checked us in and she was very helpful, even offering an escort to help us find our room. We decided not to take her up on the offer and found building B in the North Villas. The biggest challenge at night is the letters on the buildings are not lit up very well.
Our condo was at ground level and the patio faced a pool, it was great! It was clean with lots of hot water for showering!
You really do need a car at this resort because the other pools, main building, fitness centre and grocery store are a bit of a distance away.
The Publix grocery store is across from the resort. If you go to the fish counter you need to ask the butcher to steam some shrimp and add either cajun or old bay spice. Best shrimp I ever had :-)
Worldmark resorts always have a great selection of DVD's. This resort has 4 movies. If you look forward to watching a free movie in you room you will be disappointed. They need to charge members $10. per movie that they do not bring back so Worldmark/Wyndham can replenish their stock.

I'd suggest a phone call direct to the resort. The number should be on your confirmation or if not it is on the resort page in the resort gallery. They should know the answer to your cost question for the resort golf course or at least the phone number for the golf course which would have the info.

It's been awhile since this resort was reviewed so here is a short one! We prefer Kingstown Reef!!! This resort is beautiful and the water park is nice, but the other resort is in a better location for Disney and has MANY more restaurants/shopping conveniently located. This resort was WAY TOO BIG for us...we don't like taking a shuttle to the pool and lobby, or having to drive there.

Hello All!
We just stayed at Reunion Oct 14th through Nov 1st. (With a 3 day stay in the middle at Daytona)
It was the 2 of us, son, daughter in law and 7 yr old grand daughter until the 24th then just the 2 of us the rest of the time.

We had a really nice stay all the staff was very helpful and were always offering to go the extra step to make our day. The unit was really nice it was almost 2,000 sq feet. Had a master bedroom with king bed and huge bathroom, the 2nd bedroom had a queen with it's own bathroom, and the 3rd bedroom had 2 double beds and a bathroom that was also available to the hall through a 2nd door. There was a very nice kitchen with eating bar, a large dinning room and a large living room. Off the hallway by the kitchen was a closet with washer and dryer.

Entry into the unit is into a hall that has bedrooms 2 and 3 off of it. Then the washer dryer closet. Then opens up into the kitchen area. The kitchen dining and living room are essentially one large room. off of the living is the master bedroom with 2 walk in closets and a huge bathroom.

The unit was in good repair. We had an issue with the gasket coming off of the dryer door. A call to the front desk resulted in a repair person showing up within an hour.

The water park was awesome!!! The neighborhood pool was very nice as well. The condo was located in the North Villas past the water park. The North Villas are located along I-4 however we never heard any noise from the highway. The resort is about a 10 mile drive out of Orlando. It takes about 15 min to drive to get to either the Magic Kingdom or Epcot. And a 10 minute drive to either Animal Kingdom or Hollywood Studio. We loved the peace and quiet when at the resort. We over looked the golf course.

There is a shopping center across the street from the resort with a Publix grocery store.

The resort is huge. After going through the entry gate it is about a mile to the Hotel where you check in. The resort spans I-4 and a county road. It is huge!

We loved it!!!!

The only cons for us were water park was only open until 6 pm and the only hot tub on property is on the top of the hotel and is only available until 5 pm because the top floor converts into a high end restaurant. I find it had to believe that as high end of a resort that it is that is the only hot tub on property.

We are looking forward to our next stay there. If I can provide any further information please let me know.

I was very impressed with Reunion Resort. Property was well maintained. Staff was friendly and caring. Water park was awesome. Too bad it closes at 6:00 pm. Pools close too early on the property, so you would have to leave a theme park early to enjoy the pools. Asked for towl exchange for the blue and white towls and they kept bringing plain white towls. The guy had limited English skills. Frustraiting.
Tickets were a good deal.
The timeshare meeting for update was supposed to take 45 min. 85 min later.
It was worth it for the free gift. And we learned some new things about our WM ownership.

Advice, enjoy the property, only plan 2-3 theme parks for a weeks stay, cocoa beach is 65 min away but tolls suck, use I-4 to save on tolls, supermarket just outside the gare with restraunts, go to Midevil Times, and have Money and lots of it.

Loved the rooms, but you could hear the people running around above us. That was ok though. Beds were very comfortable. Everything was good.
We had 3 bdrm X2 for family get together.

Stayed from 4-11 Aug 2013

I'm sure you checked the mileage. I am very surprised it is only 6 miles to Disneyworld. It took me 20-30 minutes to drive out to the Reunion from Wyndham Bonnet Creek which is actually on Disneyworld property. Maybe I took a more scenic route. It is a lovely resort and large - I never found the Water Park. Glad to read a positive report.

Was at Reunion from 8 May thru 15 May. The weather was wonderful, no rain and in the 80's. The resort is as nice in person as the pictures online. The king size bed in the master bedroom was the great, you could get in and out of bed without disturbing the other person. We were in the north Villas near the water park which was a very quiet area. The water park was very nice with the Lazy River to float around. The rooms must be well built because we never heard any of our neighbors. It is only six miles from Disney. The people at the resort were very nice and would take care of any problems you might have. We ate at the Forte restaurant, on the resort, the food was excellent and you get a discount with your room card. We plan on coming back to Reunion next May. Plenty of places to eat in the area. Again, only minutes away from Disney!!
If you have a GPS I recommend setting it to avoid tolls because if you don't you better have lots of change for the toll roads.

Wow, I read as much as possible about this property before we went to Orlando last week and I have to say it was sure a challenge to get to this property. We thought we would check it out before we booked. They had a few open units Thurs-Sun so after our evening at downtown Disney we drove and drove and drove out to reunion and it was just too far away from the Disney parks. We got the third degree at the resort check in kiosk, drove in to take a look and after we drove and drove again we just turned around at the round a bout and went back to our hotel. We wasted almost an hour just to stop by. If you and your family have enjoyed a day of speed walking around one of the parks, the last thing you want to do is drive and drive just to get to your resort.
We instead booked the Worldmark Kingston Reef (super close to all Disney) and we left Epcot at 9:15 and we were in the hot tub at 9:35! Thats what I need after a day of running around Disney. Since reunion is so far away the pools and hot tub would be closed way before you got back from Disney. The kingston property was awesome!!!!!! We even did laundry and had no problems finding an open machine.

khaft... also be aware when entering the lobby to "check in." They sent us to a desk for "check in" She was having me fill out a form for "registration" but it was asking date of birth, annual income, marital status, so I questioned her and she replied that everyone needs to fill them out. I refused. Come to find out, we were at the desk to book owners update meetings. I did not enjoy the trickery, but once we were sent to the other side of the lobby to actually check in, things went fine. Not a great first impression, but the resort is really nice and we enjoyed our stay.

Yes, there are the stackable Washer/dryer machines in a small closet. Be advised that you need to keep the door open when using them. I was told this by the maintenance guy who said that the machines are not vented outside. So we just ran the dryer in very small loads, with the door open when we could handle the noise (they are right off of the kitchen)

Thank you so much for your review! I wanted to double check - are there washer/dryers in the units or no? i was assuming there were but if not I'll definitely pack more!

Thanks again everyone for responding!

Here are some of the things we found out while staying at the Reunion resort. It is a VERY nice place, so when you check in at the Hotel, you are immediately aware that this is an upscale resort. We had stayed for a few days at the Kingston Reef and it was a definite upgrade. Having a car to get around was almost a necessity. You can call for a shuttle ride around the resort itself to go to the other pools or golfing. Since there are restaurant options onsite and the units have beautiful kitchens you could conceivably not need a car, but to get to Disney World or Universal you'll want your own transportation. They offered us discounts on park ticket admission if we would commit to the 45-minute owner update (which we decided not to). The units are 3 bedroom (2 kings, 2 full), and 3 bathroom. Flat screen TV's were in each bedroom. The kitchen was really nice with stainless steel appliances and ice/water in the fridge. The only things missing were there were no spices. (Washer/dryer also). The villas are near the water park-which is a nice option if you don't want to fight the crowds at the theme parks. We had fun floating the lazy river and there was a really cool kids water feature. The villas had a neighborhood pool, but to get to a hot tub you would have to drive over near the hotel (about a mile or more away). We saw a lot of golfers.
About the only downside was that since this is a new Worldmark property, and it is managed by Wyndham, there were some very confusing things-like we had to sign a paper saying we knew we had to check out by 10 a.m. but the handout given to us by Worldmark said checkout was at noon. The other thing was we had to give them a major credit card at check-in that they said would be charged $50 every day to cover any expenses we might incur at the resort restaurants.
We are definitely going back here-it's worth the effort and cost.

I was in Orlando for work and took a drive to the resort to check it out. The Worldmark units are in the block that is closest to the freeway (Northwest corner)just past the waterpark. You need a car if you are staying in the resort to get around becuase it is huge. The units are nice and there is a small pool to use in front of the units. I think Worldmark purchased 10-20 units in this area. The hotel is very nice and you can use the facilites there. Very nice looking golf courses. It is located 8 miles south of Disney and 25 miles south of Downtown Orlando/Convention Center/Sea World

Thanks for posting your thoughts on Reunion! We are headed there in April. I was wondering if you could tell me which section of the resort your unit was in? I know they have several areas such as Heritage Crossing, Carriage Pointe, etc. and I was trying to find out which section the Worldmark units are in. Thanks so much!

The Orlando-Reunion resort is a VERY nice place. We have never been to Kingstown Reef, but I'm sure this is better. There are a plenty of pools and a water park. We spent most of our time at Disney, but made it to the pool once. It was only about 15-20 minutes to get parked at Disney. We have nothing to complain about. This is definitely a great place to stay for Orlando.
