Have you stayed at Las Vegas Spencer Street? Here's your chance to tell other owners what it's really like. How hot is the hot tub? How big is the pool? What do you wish you had known before you left home?

Stayed in a 2-bd unit at Spencer St April 1-4. Location was easy to find, convenient to casinos/area attractions; an ideal break from the "Vegas" lights/glitz. All staff was excellent, professional & helpful. Unit was very clean, well-kept/stocked, and quiet. Fewer number of units gives it a neighborly feel. Weather & hot tub were warm--not hot. Game room is just a pool table. No snack bar--just vending machines. Hardest part was no easy access to real food (Shuttle is hourly, and didn't feel comfortable with 15-minute walk to closest grocery store/restaurants). With better planning for meals, it's definitely worth a return visit.

Where does the shuttle take you on the strip?

We stayed three nights in May 2017 and really enjoyed the quiet and intimate setting. We arrived before check-in, but the staff was able to accommodate us with a very short wait. There was pressure to sign-up for the "program update" which we repeatedly declined. It is a very small property so everything is a quick and easy walk. Two floors and no elevators. We had a choice so got a ground level unit as we have problems with stairs. The kitchen was small, but had everything and was totally functional. The other rooms were large, so there is plenty of space and include washer/dryer. The balcony is small and there is no grill. There are a few grills near the pool. There is quite a lot of covered parking. My husband was disappointed in the very limited fitness room, but otherwise we enjoyed all other amenities. The hourly strip shuttle also doubles as a store shuttle to Albertsons, so you can go any time the shuttle is running. Don't let the name fool you, though; it is an old, rundown and not very clean store. There is a Dollar General store a 1/2 block from the resort that has just about anything you need. This is not a resort for active children or adults who want to party. This is the perfect resort for "retiring" adults who like a slower, quieter pace. We will definitely come back.

I like this quiet resort, and have stayed here many times. Special Note: a new 12% tax has started this year, at this resort, and at all Las Vegas Worldmark resorts. This definitely makes this place less attractive to me.

I stay at this resort almost every year for the WSOP.
I like it because it is off the strip and much quieter than the other WM resorts.

I never rent a car, instead use the shuttle or even walk out to Flamingo and catch the bus.
Office staff is wonderful and friendly.

We were there last month for the CES and I like the place. It's smaller and apartment like but it's only for two of us, no problem. It's in the residential area but not far to the strip. We have a car so we didn't use the shuttle services. Overall we had a good experience. Oh, this place is close to airport smile

We are going to be staying at this resort for spring break. Has anyone stayed here recently that can comment on their experience, likes, dislikes, etc? Thank you!

Any feedback about the recent painting going on at the resort? Just curious how "unsettling" those events are for an overnight stay? thanks!!

Suited our purposes well... Staying here for a soccer tournament and easy access to the strip. Although we rented a car to get to games, we were prepared to use the shuttle to and from the strip as it was very convenient. It was clean, well stocked and everything worked well. It was quiet for us and the pool was not busy. I've been to the other Vegas stays and I know that this is not the most luxurious of the bunch, but the super friendly staff and close-to- everything conveniences made up for this.

We stayed at the Las Vegas Spencer Steet Resort in October, 2013 and found it to be smaller than most other WorldMark resorts. However, the resort suited our needs as we were in Las Vegas to see shows and landmarks such as the Hoover Dam rather than just spending our time at the resort. We enjoy fixing our own breakfast each morning as this is our quiet time before the day begins. There was a store down the street where we could get needed supplies. The shuttle bus to the strip was a nice addition. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The unit was clean and far enough away from the strip for the quiet you would expect at a WorldMark resort.

We are currently staying at Spencer Street. This resort does not have the frills & amenities as Worldmark on the Blvd, but it is a terrific location. We are 2 1/2 miles from the strip and they have a shuttle that takes you there. If you want to drive, it is a straight shot to Harrah's Casino with plenty of parking. We are also a 10 minute walk to Olive Garden and several other restaurants. The staff at Spencer St are the greatest. Edna is always willing to talk and answer any questions and she is very willing to help you with your needs. The resort has a small pool, a Jacuzzi, 5 video games, a treadmill an elliptical and dumbbells. The resort is in the middle of a neighborhood, so if you are looking for quiet and relaxation in Vegas, here it is. Room was clean and ready to go. We will be back.

Have been to: Vegas on the Blvd, Oceanwalk-Daytona Beach, Branson, Lake of the Ozarks, Grand Lake, Indio, Oceanside, Big Bear, Phoenix, Pinetop, Rancho Vistoso, Steamboat Springs, Red River, Taos and Pagosa Springs.

Was there during Spring break (Apr 1-5) and our 1st time to stay. Got the 1 BR unit ground floor. Glad we have it near the office as this is easier to check in/out. The days we were there, WIFI was having problem sometimes it works most of the time it was down, says they have problem with the provider.

The pool is just about right so is the spa. Taking the shuttle bus to the strip is quite convenient if you only want to stroll/walk along the strips, go from one casino to casino, but not in serious shopping. If you need to go shopping, take your car, so you don't lug your shopping bags with you, or if you think you'll be staying longer after 12 midnite along the strip, then you'll miss their last pick-up.

Overall, we would go back and book again. I like the fact that it's nearer to stores ie: Walgrens, grocery stores, small shopping plaza for food, etc.

Hey, nobody wants anything to go up in price! My car insurance just went up $240 for the year (2 cars, both 6 years old). Yikes! Gotta love California!
We actually have exceptionally low maintenance dues, comparatively. Just ask my sister who owns Marriott in Hawaii -over $2,500 for 1 week of vacation a year. She doesn't get Bonus Time or Fun Time, either!
I don't like any dues increases, but at the same time, I really am happy to see our resorts in good condition.
By the way, I am looking to buy some one time use credits. Anybody have some to sell? Please email me at 1866bid2win@gmail.com Thanks!

Dear Menendezp,

These are items that WorldMark by Wyndham Management would like to know about so that we can take immediate action to get these issues addressed. If you have an issue or concern that you would like management to be aware of so corrective action can be taken, the most expeditious way to communicate that concern would be to send it directly to ownersupport@wyn.com. If you prefer, you may call Owner Care at 888.648.7363 option 4.

We stayed at Spencer street for week this month and even though this is usually or favorite resort in Vegas this visit left a lot to be desired. Here are just a few of the things that happened while we were there....

The room looked a little worse for wear and the staff acted as if smoking is more important then helping owners. We also never had a chance to sleep in as both he gardners and trash pick up is early morning and the staff tends to hang around and "chat".

A word of advice.....be sure to check with the shuttle drive that you will be picked up from the Strip. We had been told to call to make sure he would come to get us and then when we did follow those instructions we were not picked up!

With the amount of our dues and what we pay for the "privaledge" of being owners seems that we would be treated much better.

I stayed at the Spencer St. location August 24 -27, 2011. The location was great. Far enough from the action to have peace, but close enough to make several trips back to the strip without much difficulty. I suggest renting a car to fully enjoy yourself since the shuttle provides limited service and it's too hot to stand around waiting.

The unit was okay EXCEPT for the dirty carpets and dining chairs, and a foul odor in the refrigerator. When I complained about the filthy carpets I was told that they were working on cleaning them but it was difficult due to the high demand for the spaces that time of year which is understandable. However, there was no reason for the odor in the refrigerator.

With the cost of maintenance fees, I personally expect better.

I am noticing all of the info from users of Spencer Street are old.
Has anyone stayed there recently? If so, how was it?

We have stayed at this resort after it first opened and have stayed at the other two in LV also. I find the Tropicana location a tad small, and the LV boulevard too big & impersonal, so I'd like to try Spencer St. once again.

It is way too far to walk - renting a car is your best bet. Make sure you can park a car near the Conv Ctr, parking can be tight and $$ there.

According to my map program it is 3 miles from the Spencer St resort to the convention center. That is a long walk.

My family and I enjoyed spencer stree. There were six of us and we had plenty of room in the apt. I dont know if all the beds are the same in each room but the wife and I loved the king bed we had. Very, very comfortable and huge. Honestly it was better than a lot of the hotels' beds on the strips. I defenitely recommend this place, but I have not stayed at the others in vegas yet..

Stayed here in late Sept of 2010 in a 2 BR unit, right near the pool on the ground floor.
We loved it so much! The master BR was so spacious, with a walk in closet and a chaise lounge and table in the corner. The master bath was HUGE!
Kitchen was small but we decided we could easily live there.
Wasn't crazy about the deep single sink in the kitchen but that could be changed. :-)

The girls (21 & 23) had wanted to stay out on the strip but were grateful for Grandpa being designated driver and to be able to go "home" to a nice quiet place where they could sleep til noon! Then to have a lovely pool just outside to go "play" in was amazing to them.

Recommendation is 5 stars!

Myrna
