We just returned th 12th, and the Cantina is still there. My daughter and 50 of our closest friends had her wedding at Cabo Surf, and quite a few of us stayed at Worldmark. My wife and I were there for a week. Few words about cooking in the rooms, which we didn't very much because of wedding parties, dinner cruise (which was a kick, the whole crew got crocked but fun). If you buy meat or fish at the Mega Store, be prepared for it to be quite differant than what you are used to. The cuts are differant, and meat and fish are on ice beds, not packaged, just out in the open. We wanted some frozen chicken breasts, could not find any or hardly any frozen meat.
We went to the Fiesta at Mama Mias our first night there, buffet food was not that great but the (rowdy) entertainment more than made up for it. Mama Mia's has very good breakfasts. Have a ball, we did!!!!!!.

Totally agree...the meat at Mega is excellent! Better than most of what you find at home! The BBQ chickens they sell are fabulous too!

We just got back and had some great meals:
- Mama Mia's, of course
-Tropicana in San Jose is always a favorite, we like it for lunch outside.
- And, new to us on our first drive to Todos Santos, was Tequila's Sunrise. Wow, it was great and the presentation and service was equally impressive. I had the chile relleno, which is unlike any I've had anywhere before. It wasn't swimming in canned sauce, swamped in cheese or swathed in egg batter. They treat the poblano like it is an ingredient, not a vessel. The filling (I had shrimp) would be great by itself. The accompanying sauce isn't there to hide anything and at first looks thin, but then the taste is huge. The garnish was pomegranate seeds, but calling it garnish is wrong because it adds so much to each bite. The presentation is stunning.
And, we were watching World Cup soccer. Easily one of my most memorable meals, ever.

We just got home from 10 days at CB. While there we talked to one of the staff who recommended a place in San Jose del Cabo called La International. The food was great, portions were fine dining size and the prices were fair. The atmosphere was wonderful with 40's music overlooking the fountain. They have a 2 for 1 special on food every Saturday as well. It is next door to Shooters.(which we were sad to see is closed for remodel until October)
We also went to The Hangman a local favorite. The tacos and Quesidillas were very good and cheap. Our 15 year old daughter tried the cactus quesidilla and is now asking me to find a recipe for it.
We drove up to Todos Santos and ate at The Tequilla Sunrise. Very good food! And friendly staff too.
This was our second trip to CB and think my personal favorite is still the fish ceviche at Cabo Wabos yum!

The best taco place in san jose del cabo is called taqueria rossys. Try there shrimp and fish tacos. You'll love it.
