First night, headed out to get stuff for dinner and a few groceries. Went North to the little grocery store and gas station up by the casino. Nice custom order sandwich bar, fresh fruit, milk and deli case with some nice pasta salads.
Went our our second night to Stillwater Cafe in Port Townsend (25 minutes). The cod fish and chips were served hot, tasty and nice cole slaw. Our other dinner was a chicken breast stuffed with swiss cheese and ham, baked with maranara sauce on the side. The chicken was tender. I had them put the sauce on the side as food that is well made doesn't need a strong sauce to cover up the flavor. Chicken was great, no need for saucing. Dinner also included a risoto, fresh asparagus and vegetables, done just crisp, not over cooked. Finished off sharing a marionberry pie with ice cream. Yum!

Thank you for the 2011 restaurant post for The Ajax Cafe, Port Hadlock (20 min. from the resort. I investigated on-line and tried it tonight. Totally outstanding! I had the special: Ling Cod, which was perfectly prepared; my partner enjoyed the Pork Ribs. I tasted the ribs and they were outstanding. I like to spend my bucks on 'farm to table' type restaurants, which The Ajax is. The decor is funky, cluttered so casual attire is appropriate. I made a reservation in October for dinner. At first the place was dead but it filled by 6 pm. In the summer, I imagine this place would be packed.

On our first night, we dined at the Oasis Bar and Grill, Sequim. The resort staff provided a hand-out on restaurants and since it was Monday, most were closed. At the Oasis, I had a Stroganoff with Prime Rib soup, while my partner enjoyed a Prime Rib Dip. Both were excellent. In fact, their french fries were I best I have ever enjoyed (and I'm decades mature). They have a great bar menu. I would call this place a 'silver fox' bar as it seems to cater to the Sequim locals.
