Have you stayed at Depoe Bay? Here's your chance to tell other owners what it's really like. How big is the pool? How hot is the hot tub? What do you wish you knew before you left home?

Just spent a week at Depoe Bay. Stayed in unit B-524. We Loved it!!! Had a great view of pirate cove and the ocean from our balcony as well as the window in living room area. Unit was clean, beds were comfortable. Kitchen a little small and cramped but worked well as there was only two of us most of the time and meals that we cooked were simple. Room was a little stuffy (hot) upon arrival and there is no air conditioning. Talked with maintenance and they were geat. Supplied us a screen for the front bedroom window so we could get a cross breeze. Once we got air flow Unit was quite comfortable for the remainder of the stay. Bathrooms were roomy, shower heads placed appropriately for taller people and the water flow was strong. Property itself is beautiful. You can walk the length of it and see ocean the whole time. Made it a point to watch sunset every night, which all were gorgeous. Parking was a bit of an issue at times. Parking spaces seemed like were all made for compact cars. We have a sedan type car and found it to be very close quarters especially if you had a big truck parked next to you. Grounds were quiet except for the remodeling that was happening in the building next to us, BUT we were given plenty of warning both by email, phone call and again upon check in. Construction started and stopped just as we were informed. The sound of the ocean pretty much covered the sound of the construction. Took some day trips into Newport and Lincoln city. Enjoyed both and they are not very far away. When staying make sure you take time for whale watching. We saw plenty from our balcony as well as the whale watching center right in Depoe bay!!!! People very friendly and helpful. We will definitely go back to this resort again.

We have been members since 1994. We have stayed at Depoe Bay, every year, for the past 5 years. The staff and amenities are great! We have always had a spectacular view in Phase 1. This year, for the first time, we decided to give Phase 2 a shot. We are not impressed with Phase 2, especially after staying in Phase 1 on a regular basis.

Phase 2: We are staying in D513. We booked at the 13th month mark at 6:05am and checked in at 3:30pm on day of Check-In.
- The views are not nearly as nice as Phase 1.
- The room seems much more narrow than Phase 1 rooms.
- The kitchen is only big enough for 1 normal size adult.
- Street noise from Hwy 101 can be heard from the guest bedroom.
- Lights from the walkway outside of the guest bedroom brighten up the room (may be an issue for those sleep sensitive to light.)

Don't let availability of Phase 1 stop you from booking. Phase 2 is good, just not as good as Phase 1.

We enjoy staying at Depoe Bay in November to watch the storms, and Gleneden in August to enjoy the beach.
