Maggianos next to the Fashion Show Mall has great Italian for a great price....but make a reservation. Also, if you like hot dogs stop at Pinks Famous Chile Dogs on the stip north of the MGM Grand on the east side of street...very very good for a short bite.

We just returned from a great trip to Vegas. But I feel the need to let people know that the buffet at the Monte Carlo was a huge disappointment. I would hate for anybody to waste money on it. By far the worst buffet we have ever been to. Loved the casino but the buffet is a waste of your time...

Best Buffet Bang for your Buck......The Rio
Great price with the discount for the show we also saw there.
I would also eat at Steiner's Pub just down the street from the resort.

Any tips for food delivery to the resort?

We've enjoyed:
- McMullan's Irish Pub - 4650 W Tropicana Ave. The Irish Pie is EXCELLENT - steak, mushrooms & carrots in a flaky crust, served with peas, mashed potatoes and gravy, $13. Daily happy hour.
- The D Grill (Fremont Street) has good meal prices. Very good pork loin dinner and French onion soup.
- Margaritaville (on the strip) is fun, but not cheap. Check out the small plate & appie section of the menu, it's cheaper & good portions: carnitas tacos & the chicken quesadillas are both yummy - plenty for 2 hungry people. Two regular margaritas cost $20.
- Black Bear Diner - 6180 W Tropicana Ave. Breakfast all day. Decent prices.
- The Orleans Courtyard Cafe - 4500 W Tropicana Ave. Huge menu with decent prices.

Pizza Rock downtown, a block or so from Fremont Street, has great Italian food in a casual atmosphere. They have a huge pizza menu (of course!) with different styles of pizza (Chicago, New York, etc) cooked in various ovens with different temperatures. One oven is 900 degree wood fired and produced far and away the best margherita pizza I have ever eaten. Plus home made pastas, full bar and, of course, great rock music playing in the backround. Check out their slick website for the full scoop.

Some places that we enjoy when we come to Vegas are:

The Yardhouse--This is located in the Town Square, about a mile or so up the strip. It has a lunch menu as well as any drink you could imagine.

Cabowabo--This is located down town across the street roughly from Ceasars and Belagio. It has outside seating and a cantina. It is great Mexican food, but there are also hamburgers etc. It was about 100 bucks for a family of 6 so be prepared to spend some cash.

Margarittaville--We have eaten here twice. Great food and you leave full, but pretty pricey.

Flavors Buffet--Located in the Harrah's. The only reason for eating here was that we scored six free buffet tickets from an owner's update. (Instead of the 50$ card they wanted to give me, I asked for food vouchers. They seem to go farther.) It was a decent buffet, but probably wouldn't spend any money on it if I didn't have vouchers.

We also like to visit the Cupcake Corner in the Monte Carlo. (I had a red velvet cupcake with cream cheese frosting.)

We discovered Napoli's Pizza. The front desk has the number and a flier. They are out of Henderson, but they deliver to the resort. We got an extra large meat pizza for about 30 dollars and it was SO large that it fed our whole family twice.

We also took our kids to Blueberry Hill on West Flamingo. It's easy to get to. From the resort get on the 15 north and get off at West Flamingo. Its a mile or two down West Flamingo. It's a cute diner that has a huge menu.
