We stayed at Bison Ranch for a week near Easter. We met a delightful couple at chruch who sell fresh, cage free, brown eggs for an amazing price. They basically sell them for the cost of the feed. I don't normally buy special eggs, but it was a real treat for us.
They live less than 10 minutes from the resort, (on the way to or from another place you will likely go).
They stay in the area from about April 1-November 1.
You can contact them. Tell them Kelly sent you!
Bill and Donna, phone # (local): 535-6235, or Bill's cell 623-606-7851 (not a local call).

We just spent a quick weekend get-away at Bison Ranch. WM staff were very helpful providing information for nearby attractions. Highly recommend the Wild Women Saloon, awesome food and service. Enjoyed the Shops as well!
Disappointed with those people who choose to bend the "No Pets" policy.

We stayed for an extended weekend. Loved the area. Hiked in the area around Woods Canyon and willow springs. Hoped to rent canoe or kayak but not at these lakes BUT they have great fishing and boats to rent for that. We suggest to stop at the local Forest Ranger station just west of Overgaard to get info on lakes and hikes. We flew into Phoenix and drove to the resort. Recommend you stop and shop in Payson if you need food for the week. Local stores near resort have the essencials but not a big selection. Wild Women restaurant in resort area is great! Workers helpful in answering questions.
Resort hosted 1st annual Chili Cookoff,Aug. 4- fun time, great chili to taste
