We also ate there and found they were very nice and the food was great. It also was very reasonably priced. View was beautiful.

Two of our favorites: Kyllos in Lincoln City. No reservations, go before 6 for the shortest wait and parking. My wife's favorite: shrimp Louie with an extra cup of shrimp and their dill ranch dressing. I enjoyed their fillet and have it with double veggies for a weight watcher count of eight points. I often get their hazelnut blue cheese side salad and ask for the dill ranch (not included in the eight points.) For a very rich, tops in the state chocolate peanut butter pie, this is the place. If you don't like great pie, go for the marion berry cobbler.

Other choice for a special celebration is Tidal Raves. Reservations are a must on weekends and a good idea other times. Make the reservation at the start of your stay or your only time might be 4:45 in the afternoon. South of the resort about a mile. Walkable, ocean front, best seen before sunset. My wife had the broiled fresh halibut and said it was awesome. My son and I had the grilled 10 oz rib eye. Full of flavor, with roasted potatoes and veggies, awesome. They've got a great chef. For his birthday, we had the key lime pie and the three of us nibbled on it. Great flavor, nice crust.

We loved Gracie's Sea Hag for their clam chowder. I think we went there almost every day just for the chowder.

The Horn Public House and Brewery has a great upstairs area with a view of the harbor.

Tidal Raves is on the West side of Coast Highway, and has great views of the rocky shore.

If you drive all the way down to Newport, we loved Georgie's Beachside Grill.
