Reno Resort Review - 03/05/04 04:58 PM

Have you stayed at the Reno resort? Here's your chance to tell other WorldMark vacationers what it's really like. How big is the pool? Hot hot is the hot tub? What do you wish you had known before you left home?

We went to Reno over the President's day weekend and it was awesome. We liked the property. It's within walking distance to all of the casinos. The staffs were very helpful. The only thing I don't like is the parking. Their parking spaces are small and limited. The sauna is a must. We girls took advantage of it and had it to ourselves for more than 45 minutes.

I have stayed at this resort on 2 occasions. One back in Jan 2010 for snowboarding and last year Oct 2011 for a continued education seminar.

Love this place! Convenient and close to all the casinos. Walked back late one evening and felt safe. There is a club right next door to this resort but there is a security guard posted right in front of the entrance (for vehicles)to ensure that you are a guest before they allow you on the property. They even asked to see our room key.

Staff is always wonderful and cheerful. Would def stay her again!

My husband and I just got back from a weekend here. The room and resort were very nice and the staff were exceptional! We arrived early and our room wasn't ready. They offered to call me when it was ready and said they would also try and move us to a higher floor. We then took the shuttle to the Silver Legacy for a little while. They called just before 4 saying that our room was ready and even moved us from the 2nd floor to the 8th. Later we let them know that the closet door was off track and we had no tea kettle. When we returned to the room, everything was fixed.

Yes, the room was a little smaller than we're used to, and the kitchen is quite small (we were in a one bedroom), but it was fine for 2 and even had a pantry. The floor to ceiling windows gave a great view of the mountains and casinos. We'll definitely be back.

this is a remodeled hotel. I did not like it at all. garbage can by elevator smelled up hall. small bathrooms. had feel of a dumpy old hotel. pool small. the check in girl was the very best wm employee I have met. she was very helpful. I do not know her name. she attends humbolt community college. give her a raise. hire all like her. the other guy started to help us but twice left us to do something else.

wm needs to do like las vegas on the strip and built a nice property.

We stayed here last week on bonus time. We had a 1 bdrm unit, it had everything we expect and was very clean. The pool & hot tub area was small but adequate. This isn't a destination resort but rather a good base to explore the area. Easy walk to Sands, Eldorado/Silver Legacy/Circus Circus.

Spent 4 days at this Resort last week and it was very good for us. We happened to arrive after hitting a stretch of road where we got thunder, lightening, rain, ice, hail, and snow. We saw the opposite direction backed up for miles in a 16 vehicle backup that included a death. We arrived 2 hours early and thought we'd just give them our information and instead we were able to get a room.
My wife had a gourd festival to go to the next morning and when she started to drive out she found she had a flat tire. AAA said it would be an hour and fifteen minutes then called her back to say they would be there in 5 minutes. Turned out to be a snow chain piece from someone's old chains.
The next morning she was doing the gourd thing again and was dropping me off to visit my brother in Sparks but before we could shower the power went out for the surrounding area. Just glad the generator kicked in as we were on the 9th floor. The unit was fine and overall a good trip.
