What's there to do in Branson? We want to hear about the shows, the duck ride everything you did and saw while staying at this resort.

Branson is great...So much to do it's hard to choose, the lake is great, the state park marina has great rentals, the shopping can't be beat and if you are into true americana arts and craft you will be amazed at the artisians in the area. Other than water sports the activities are year round. The caves are amazing. It is truly a year round resort. The will be snow at times but that makes the scenery even more amazing. The resort itsself is great and the staff is knowledgeable about the area. They have great discounts available too. I would give this a 5 star rating. Young, old, singles, families it has is all. My family is into zip lining and they loved the available places to zip line.

Shows: All the shows we saw were great. We can vouch for SIX, Legends, Showboat, Jersey Nights, and all the free shows we saw at Silver Dollar City (Earth Harp, Homestead Pickers bluegrass, Paint Jam with instant hand paintings, Melodies on Air from Ecuador, Flamenco Kings, and be sure and stay for the free Hits from the Hollow show after the park closes), don’t miss Silver Dollar City theme park, and go ahead and get the season pass, which is only 50% more than a one day pass. You can’t see it all in one day. The coasters were awesome. Wildfire flips you upside down no less than 5 times, Outlaw run is probably the fastest coaster I’ve ever been on, Powderkeg was a mag-lev coaster and very good, and others, too. Lines were short for all the rides in April. We did them all in half a day. Don’t miss the free Marvel Cave tour in the park as well, but be prepared for exertion. There were also some unique gift shops, as well. One was the Bent Spoon, with beautiful jewelry and rings made out of silverware. Another was the walking-stick-maker, but be prepared to pay for an extra bag if you are flying to get it home. We watched a blacksmith working and glassblowing and other authentic old-time craftsmen at work. There are also some great multi-level Go-Kart tracks in town for all ages, interesting stores in old downtown, a free hourly dancing water show at The Landing, and two wineries with free tastings and tours. Plenty to do!

We're looking to go this year between Christmas and New Years. Any recommendations for what to do and see during the holiday season?
