What's there to do at Dolphins Cove? We want to hear about what you did and saw while staying at this resort.

We took a trip up to Seal Beach one of the days we were here last week. The beach was almost empty and we enjoyed our day. There is a city parking lot right next to the beach for around $5 for a couple hours. No wash off stations but the was a lifeguard. The beach dips down pretty quickly and the surf was pretty rough. For our older children it was ok, but not our favorite beach. Took about 40 mins drive from resort.

We went to Corona del Mar on the sunday we were there and it was PACKED on the long open side due to the holiday weekend, but if you hike up over the rock formations to the immediate right of the parking area and restrooms, there is a small cove with very scenic rock cliffs and a more sheltered, if small beach area. Great for watching the ships come in and out and the little "caves" provide some natural shade. If you want bigger waves, go left to the open beach front. They did have wash off showers by the parking lot. We loved this beach! We fojnd free street parking about 2 blocks from the water and hiked down. If carryinv a lot of gear, you may want to pay and be closer. Only a 20-30 min drive from the resort.
