This resort is across the road from the ocean. Private homes are beach front across the road. There is a beach within walking distance of the resort - maybe 2 blocks. It is a small beach with some sand, but the access to the ocean is a bit tricky. There are several great beaches within 5-20 miles. You can see the ocean from the 3rd and 4th floors in a few units.

Is anyone else put in a very bad situation because Kona stopped filling all reservations within the next 8 weeks? Tickets are bought and now we'll be sleeping in our rental car because they won't fill my waitlist offers. I can't believe they are treating us owners like this.

I am sure this reply is coming too late. I've been away from the Forum for awhile. I would suggest staying at the Worldmark. The Sea Village is not as nice. Yes, there are some units that have ocean views - but those aren't the Worldmark units. The other HUGE difference is that WorldMark has air conditioning and the Sea Village doesn't. You'll want air conditioning. The WorldMark is not fancy, but it is nice - and Kona is wonderful!

Has anyone stayed at Worldmark Kona and Sea Village? How do they compare? On the Worldmark site for Sea Village, it specifically says there are no ocean views, but on TripAdvisor people do seem to get them (I assume through VRBO or some other method). I've also seen very mixed reviews on the quality of the units at Sea Village. I have a reservation for both places in September 2015, and I need to cancel one of them but I'm not sure which. It sounds like Kona isn't as nice, but it's more consistent in what you will get in terms of quality and Sea Village you could be rolling the dice whether you get a nice unit or not.
Any comments or advice is much appreciated!
